Exciting news – I’m going to Svalbard! Yay and Woo-hoo! 🙂 I’m so excited about the news that I will be traveling to Svalbard . A short time ago I received an email from the gallery manager on Svalbard, who verified that I had been given artist residency in March.

My art project is to follow in my grandfather’s footsteps. Grandpa worked in the mines on Svalbard in the early fifties. Initially, I will try to capture the ambience around the mines and get inspired by the scenery, but also the nature and the light. Otherwise I will keep my mind artistically open, to see what comes to me on my expedition. I’ll keep you updated as the journey progresses 🙂
